Fudemoji Privacy

Fudemoji is a handwriting-based Japanese study app from Bells & Pixels. It is built local-first: your study content and progress stay on your device. This policy explains, plainly, what the app does and does not do with your data.

Last updated 26 July 2026

The short version

Fudemoji has no account, no sign-in, and no tracking. It does not show ads or run analytics. Your decks, your handwriting, your review history, and your progress are stored only on your device. The one and only time anything leaves your device is if you choose to send in-app feedback, and even then it carries no account and no identifier.

What we collect automatically

Nothing. There is no account and no sign-up. Fudemoji does not automatically collect, transmit, or track any personal data, usage data, or study content.

Your study content stays on your device

You import your own Anki deck files (.apkg). They are read and stored locally on your device. Your handwriting, your self-grades, your review history, and your scheduling state never leave your device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else.

Optional in-app feedback

If, and only if, you choose to use the in-app feedback button, your submission includes:

  • the feedback message you write, and

  • basic technical details to help us reproduce issues: the app version and build number, the screen you were on, and coarse environment information (platform, OS version, and language).

This is sent to Bells & Pixels only at the moment you tap send. It contains no account, no personal identifier, and none of your study content, decks, handwriting, or review history. The diagnostics are disclosed and can be declined at the point of sending. If you never use the feedback button, nothing is ever sent. The submission is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Because it carries no identifier, it is not linked to you.

What we do not do

  • No accounts, sign-in, or passwords.

  • No advertising and no advertising identifiers.

  • No analytics or usage tracking.

  • No selling of data, and no sharing of data with third parties.

  • No collection of your study content, handwriting, decks, or progress.

Children

Fudemoji is a general-audience study tool. It collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
